Take care of you and take time for you everyday!

Take care of you and take time for you everyday! While I can honestly say this does not always happen, I try to frequently remind myself to take care of myself. During graduate school, it is easy to become consumed with the reading, homework, projects, and, well, daily life. In fact, to help get through the end of the semester craziness, my friend and I are planning to go to dinner at the Cheese Shop or Food for Thought (our favorite local restaurants in the area) and then go to Wine & Design! For anyone who has never heard of Wine & Design, it is a local art studio that teaches you to paint a masterpiece in 2 hours! Truthfully, I am no artist, but they guide you through the entire process. They offer different designs each night, you bring your own wine (for those 21 and up, that is!) and snacks, and you leave with your own design to hang on your wall. In case you’re wondering what else there is to do in Williamsburg, I’d recommend Busch Gardens, York River State Park, Waller Mill Park, a Walk in Colonial Williamsburg, College Run Farms (take the ferry to Surry and pick your own strawberries and blueberries in the spring and pumpkins in the fall!), Williamsburg Winery (free tasting to students with a WM ID on the weekdays), and the Saturday Farmer’s Market are all some of my favorite things to do around Williamsburg to take a break from the rigors of graduate school.
